Starship is a minigame playable in Family BASIC V3. Instructions to code the game were published by Hudson Soft in the licensed magazine Nintendo no Family BASIC Nyūmon.

Gameplay[edit]

The player controls Mario, with the object of the game simply being to shoot at the Starship as it moves around a grid. If Mario hits the Starship, it explodes and respawns in a different location, and ten points are added to a score display in the top left corner of the screen. If Mario does not hit the Starship, it will eventually move straight down off the screen and respawn in a different location. Conversely, if the Starship touches Mario, he explodes and loses a life. The player has three lives; if they lose all three, they will get a Game Over and be given the option to play the game again. Aside from getting a Game Over, the game has no end.
