Nitanita is one of the available sprites in Family BASIC. Nitanita is a blue smiley face with red pupils that somewhat resembles Bubbles from Clu Clu Land. Nitanita also appears on the biorhythm board in Playbox BASIC.
Nitanita appears as an enemy in multiple officially-distributed Super Mario minigames. They appear in Mario World, a sample minigame included with Family BASIC V3. In this minigame, touching either of the two Nitanitas on the playing field instantly kills the player. In BIO-TECH, a minigame published by Hudson Soft, Nitanita appears as one of the sprites the enemies on the playing field can assume. In Bound Bonbon, another minigame published by Hudson Soft, Nitanita appears as one of the enemies Mario must shoot. Nitanita always spawns first, and bounces the highest. In Color Ball, which was also published by Hudson Soft, Nitanita appears as the final sprite assumed by the enemy before turning into an Achilles and flying off the screen.
