Template:Worldbox Donut Plains is the second world of Dinosaur Land in the game Super Mario World. It has a plains theme. The first Ghost House of the game, as well as the first course with multiple exits, is located in this world, and the Cape Feather is also introduced. The Top Secret area located here can be visited multiple times for various powerups, including Yoshis. The name of this world hints at the strange shape of the island (which looks indeed like a doughnut, when seen from above), although the overall theme of Dinosaur Land areas is being named after foods. The Donut Plains is ruled by Morton Koopa Jr. in Castle #2, and is reached only after defeating Iggy Koopa in Castle #1 in the previous world, Yoshi's Island. In the text that follows the cutscene pertaining to Iggy's defeat, Donut Plains is erroneously called "Donut Land".

The Donut Plains later reappears as a series of courses in Super Mario Kart, which are later reused in Mario Kart: Super Circuit. Donut Plains 1 later reappears in Mario Kart DS while Donut Plains 3 reappears in Mario Kart 8.
