Shooting Star (kart)

The Shooting Star is Mario's second original kart in Mario Kart DS. It is a small kart that's front is shaped like a yellow star and a yellow zigzag where the player sits. It has average speed, handling, and drift. Low weight and items, along with high acceleration. To unlock it, the player has to get a gold trophy on every cup in Nitro Grand Prix on 100cc, just like the other unlockable karts.

Interestingly, in Mario Kart Wii, there is a similar bike that's also named the Shooting Star. (Though it is worthy of note that in PAL regions, it it known as the Twinkle Star.)
