♪ Block

A ♪ Block (pronounced Note Block, known as Jump Blocks in Super Mario World, also known as Music Blocks) is a type of bouncy block that help Mario and Luigi achieve extremely high Jumps. These blocks rarely hold items, but checking never hurts. They first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3, then in Super Mario World.
There is a special variety of pink ♪ Blocks that catapulted Mario and Luigi to Coin Heaven, where many coins and occasionally a 1-up Mushroom could be found. One of the e-Reader cards levels is a huge tower of ♪ Blocks. ♪ Blocks are in a Mario Party 5 mini-game where each player has to jump and hit the most ♪ Blocks. However the ♪ Blocks are invisible here. These blocks also appear in Mario Superstar Baseball in the Peach's Castle field. If a baseball bounces on top of it, the batter may score a homerun.
These blocks also appear in the TV series, The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3.
