I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve here. Splitting articles just creates more articles to maintain when it could be much easier to expand the main article itself. If you feel you truly cannot expand anymore, then make a proposal, else I feel this will lead nowhere. --MikhailMCraft (talk) 19:19, September 30, 2019 (EDT)

:But if they are different items, they should have separate articles. This isn't about maintaining less articles, it's about whether or not the peppers in the Mario & Luigi series are distinct from generic peppers. For example, Hook Guys could easily be covered in the Shy Guy article, which would be less to maintain, but they get separate articles because they are distinct from each other. 15:05, October 1, 2019 (EDT)

Unlike the case with the Beans, these are actual consumable items in-battle, thus splitting these would arguably be less contentious.

Proposer: Toadette the Achiever (talk)
Deadline: October 14, 2019, 23:59 GMT

Support

 1. Toadette the Achiever (talk) Per proposal.
 2. Niiue (talk) Separate items with unique names and effects, per proposal.
 3. FanOfYoshi (talk) Per all. They are separate items, are distinguished, and it's not just an aethistic change.
 4. Obsessive Mario Fan (talk) The consumable items are clearly different from other appearances of peppers in the Mario series.

Oppose

 1. TheDarkStar (talk) The only difference between these is that they each boost a different stat. This would just create a bunch of small, near-identical articles.
 2. Lord Grammaticus (talk) This would be a fine article for the colored peppers to redirect to, it's just that the article itself isn't too well put together. Organize it, flesh it out, and then have each named pepper redirect to the article's Mario & Luigi section, and that'll probably be the best solution.
 3. MikhailMCraft (talk) Per all. I feel this becomes the same situation with the bean splitting proposal. Instead of splitting, just improve the main article and expand the respective sections.
 4. Waluigi Time (talk) Per all. The only split I'd consider going with would be a general "Pepper (Mario & Luigi series)" article, but that's pretty iffy in my opinion.
