Template:Missionbox Ride Big Boo's Merry-Go-Round is the second mission of Big Boo's Haunt in both Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. The objective is to defeat the Boos in the merry-go-round area underneath the mansion.

Layout

To reach the merry-go-round from the start of the level, the player has to enter the shed to the left. In the first room is a Mr. I and an elevator that will take the player down to a large water-filled hallway. Going down the hall and through the door will lead to another hallway, and at the end of this hall is the door to the merry-go-round area. By entering the merry-go-round through one of the doors on either side of it, Boos will begin coming out of one of the portraits on the wall in pairs. The player has to defeat these Boos on a spinning platform while avoiding the flame thrower. Once all the Boos are defeated, a Big Boo will appear. By attacking the Big Boo three times, the Power Star will appear and the merry-go-round will stop spinning.

Trivia

  • When the Power Star for this mission appears in the merry-go-round after the Big Boo is defeated, the merry-go-round music will end and the standard mansion theme will play.
    • However, in the DS version, the music will still play, even after the merry-go-round stops spinning.
