Reminder[edit]

Please stop making a flood of edits and not marking minor edits on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Good work with your edits, but please make sure to use the Preview button and try to make one big edits instead of several small ones, which is inconvenient for other users and floods the recent changes. Additionally, if you're only doing a minor fix, remember to tick the box that says "this is a minor edit". --driftmaster130 (TalkEdits) 12:40, 4 June 2016 (EDT)

Warning[edit]

Warning.svg
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (making a flood of edits repeatedly) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site.
If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

You're still making several edits in a row within the space of a few minutes; as I said before it clogs the recent changes and is inconvenient for other editors. If you're only fixing typos, fix everything on one page in a single edit instead of several small ones, and remember to mark each small edit as minor. driftmaster130 (TalkEdits) 12:13, 18 June 2016 (EDT)

Regarding Trivia[edit]

Hello there! I've noticed your several edits on Camelot-branded games, and these have certainly helped to usher in better coverage on some aspects of these lesser-covered games. Today, I'm here to inform you about the Trivia section of articles.

To believe it refers to "interesting" points, or things that people think are interesting (ex. Mushroom City is the only course from the Double Dash Star Cup not to return as a retro course!) is a misconception. For this example, it just so happens that it is the only non-returnee so far. Meanwhile, Wario Stadium being the only Mario Kart 64 racecourse to not have returned is much more notable.

Anyways, these kinds of peculiarities (the purple Chance Shot being the only one to come in pairs) really are not suitable for the Trivia section - that information could have been added directly into the properties of the purple Chance Shot. Regarding character animations, it can be mentioned in the "References to other games" sections that they're almost all reused from Mario Power Tennis, and then on Yoshi's own page, in his Mario Tennis Open section, that his losing animation is totally new.

Basically, all of this information can be entered into an already-existing section of a page. The Trivia section, therefore, is reserved exclusively for significant information - typically, information that cannot be figured out by the readers themselves - that has no other section where it reasonably belongs. For example, Mushroom Bridge sharing music with Mushroom City: there is no dedicated music section on the page, and adding this information into the infobox or starting paragraph of the page interferes with those sections' key information.

So, if you read all that, thank you for doing so. If not, here's the gist of it: Trivia sections are only for significant information, that cannot be simply figured out by the readers themselves, that cannot belong to any other existing section on a page.

Thanks, and I hope this will help bolster the quality of your edits in the future! You already provide a lot of good in-depth coverage into several of my favourite games. MarioComix (talk) 01:30, 19 September 2017 (EDT)
