File categories[edit]
Hello, thanks for your uploads. When uploading, please make sure to add any relevant file categories, like this.

Audio files should only use "Category:(game) media files" category links. "Music" is for the articles.

Nintendo Music Images[edit]
Hey there, many thanks for the help with Nintendo Music image uploading! You may have noticed that your uploads have been replaced with PNG equivalents, this is because most Nintendo Music image URLs lead to a lower quality JPEG version by default. To get the image at its original quality, all you have to do is append "?im=a" to the URL, like so: https://image-assets.m.nintendo.com/1d78b40d-f8d8-4d52-bda2-b264bc90e9ee?im=a
It would be much appreciated if you could use this method for future uploads, and put the URL directly as the source (for reference: File:NM YS Yoshis Story!.png). Polley001 (talk) 16:22, June 24, 2025 (EDT)
- Just thought I'd remind you of this with the NSMBU drop, or let you know if you missed it. Keep up the good work! Technetium (talk) 23:02, June 30, 2025 (EDT)
Game screenshot category[edit]
Uploading images with just Category:Game screenshots isn't a suitable replacement for the licensing template, since it adds them to Category:Files with unknown copyright status. Just add the following code to the file summary so you don't have to interact with the drop down menu each time.
==Licensing==
{{game-screenshot}}

Mario Kart World Nintendo Music images[edit]
Please use "MKWorld" in your file names instead of "MKW" to prevent future conflicts with Mario Kart Wii. B700465189a9 (talk) 01:47, June 2, 2026 (UTC)
MKWorld Nintendo Music uploads[edit]
Please make sure the images you're uploading for Mario Kart World's Nintendo Music album aren't already uploaded in Category:Mario Kart World screenshots under a different name and format. Several of those are promotional screenshots that have been shared in the past. In the case that the screenshot you have is of a larger size, it may be kept, but due to the already large resolution, it is also unnecessary to replace JPGs with PNGs. — Lady Sophie_17
