Edits[edit]

There's no need to add multiples of the same link in a section. If something already links to a page, it doesn't need the same link again. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 11:10, May 21, 2019 (EDT)

I also don't know why you're adding a space in the category links, but that does literally nothing. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 11:14, May 21, 2019 (EDT)
Please check back on some of your edits, as they are being reverted for poor grammar and link breaking. "sub area" is not "sub-area", your other language "corrections" do not match with the translation (so a source should be provided there), and it's "Tri Force Heroes, not "Tri-Force Heroes". Please take better care of your edits.
Regarding "afterwards" and "afterward", it is a pointless change. They both mean the same thing. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 17:27, May 21, 2019 (EDT)

In-game descriptions[edit]

Hey, what you're changing are in-game descriptions, so please don't change them unless there is actually an inconsistency between the article and the original source. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 09:09, May 22, 2019 (EDT)

Uploads[edit]

After you add an image category, remember to remove "{{uncategorized}}" as well. Any parameters you're not using in "{{aboutfile}}" (like "|5=Other versions (use file link)") should also be removed. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 22:17, June 12, 2020 (EDT)

Uuhh[edit]

Remember to add descriptions, categories, and actual names to the images you upload? You uploaded 3 images so far and all of them are with the default descriptions, no categories, and a very long name of gibberish. --Tent2 KirbySleepingAnimated.gif 15:47, February 7, 2021 (EST)

Uploads[edit]

Hello, Memelord2020. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the {{aboutfile}} template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded coding is shown below.

{{aboutfile
|1=Subject of the image
|2=Where you found the image
|3=Artist
|4=Describe edits, if any
|5=Other versions (use file link)
}}

Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line of the variable(s) you don't use. If you do not wish to use the template at all, then it is acceptable to simply remove it before you upload the file. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using {{aboutfile}} incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, Memelord2020. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must apply the proper license. A full list of licenses can be found in the file copyright tags category, but the following are the most common:

  • {{photo}} - Used for photographs of real-life subjects.
  • {{art}} - Used for artwork of something that is not a character.
  • {{comic-scene}} - Used for scans of a comic.
  • {{comic-cover}} - Used for covers of comic books.
  • {{tv-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of television shows.
  • {{film-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of movies.
  • {{video-screenshot}} - Used for other screenshots, such as those from YouTube.

When uploading, select the license from the drop-down box below the summary text box, or add the license manually after uploading or if you're using the upload function from the text editor. For example, artwork of Mario would use {{character-artwork}}.

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates; choose the one that you feel best fits the file. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

You added the categories but please remember to fill in "aboutfile" if you're using it (otherwise just remove it) and add a license. Also, don't use the default file name when uploading it; please give it a more descriptive name. Make sure you also use your files as soon as you upload them (Help:Image and Help:Gallery explains how you can do so). Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 22:11, February 7, 2021 (EST)

Warning.svg
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (not correctly using aboutfile and adding licenses) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site.
If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Your recent uploads directly went against the reminders just issued. Please don't simply leave the template unfilled (either fill it out or remove it), and remember to add a license. You should also avoid screencapping videos with watermarks. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 22:38, February 11, 2021 (EST)

File:MushroomVillageMPS.png - Next time remember to remove any parameters you're not using, like "5=Other versions (use file link)". Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 22:24, October 1, 2021 (EDT)

Image categories[edit]

When correctly adding image categories to other users' files, remember to remove the broken links as well. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 04:30, February 21, 2022 (EST)

Also, please don't swoop in to fix another user's image summary mistake immediately after they've uploaded, as this is considered edit-sniping and they were likely about to fix it soon after. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 08:52, March 22, 2022 (EDT)

You're still doing this. Please stop adding the image category link while ignoring and not removing the mistake, and wait to see if the user will re-edit the page first before jumping in a minute after it's uploaded, otherwise you will receive a formal reminder. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 09:55, May 31, 2022 (EDT)

Using files[edit]

Please make sure you use your files as soon as you upload them, especially for popular subjects like the Mario movie, otherwise there may be instances where other users don't know it exists and accidentally upload a duplicate. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 19:26, February 9, 2023 (EST)

Please stop not using files after uploading on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Someone else uploaded the same image nearly an hour after yours was uploaded and not used. Use your images on a gallery or article so others are aware it exists and don't simply leave it unused for others to add it for you. You were also told not to swoop in and add missing categories immediately after someone else uploads. Give users a moment to make the necessary fixes before doing so yourself next time. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 20:21, February 22, 2023 (EST)

Find-and-replace[edit]

Hello, I notice you have been updating names on pages relating to SMRPG. However, I'm going to ask that you make sure you keep the context for the original games if you aren't going to outright use the updated dialogue; as such, quotes, images, and situations that are only attributable to the original game should keep the original localizations and not the new ones. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:56, November 19, 2023 (EST)

Please stop changing names to remake names if the information pertains solely to the original on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.

Bowser's Minions move[edit]

Hey, while I agree with the move happening, just going ahead and doing it when there's disagreement about it... I'm sorry, but that seems a bit rude? Blinker (talk) 17:00, November 19, 2023 (EST)

The original Super Mario RPG is not the only game the name is used in, also in the Bowser's Inside Story remake from 2019. Bowser Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 17:06, November 19, 2023 (EST)

Parentheses capitalisation[edit]

The first word of phrases in mid-sentence parentheses is not capitalised, so it should be "X (originally called Y)", not "X (Originally called Y)". Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 20:20, November 19, 2023 (EST)

Please[edit]

Look, twice now, I've moved a page, only for you to eagerly vego and edit, pretty much guaranteeing an edit conflict. And I have to ask that you don't do this, please. If I moved the page, chances are I'm gonna edit it too, right? Also, in your edit to Flare, you changed Corona to Flare in a sentence that referred to the original game, so could you please not keep doing that too? Thanks. Six-Door Chamber[edit]

Just out of curiosity, where is the Six-Door Chamber so called in the Switch version of Super Mario RPG? Dwhitney (talk) 13:06, December 2, 2023 (EST)
