Splitting Piranha Plant Proposal[edit]
Hi! Welcome to Super Mario Wiki! While your enthusiasm in wanting to split the Piranha Plant page is appreciated, there are a lot of rules around creating proposals that you are not following. I advise taking a look at MarioWiki:Proposals, which goes over the system in full. There are even example proposal formats you can start from. (To be more specific, you are looking to make a Talk Page Proposal, so you want to put your proposal on Talk:Piranha Plant and you want additionally reference MarioWiki:Proposals#Talk page proposals. - Hey, thanks for pointing out that I did something that's against a lot of rules. Don't worry, I got it on the MarioWiki talk:Proposals page as a way to think of this special idea I was planning on. - In the future, you don't need to add titles to your replies. You can just add a colon (:) to indent it inside the comment chain. So if you replied to my message, you'd use three ::: at the start. — Lady Sophie_17

- Also please keep in mind that not every image goes into the screenshots category. A scan of a game's box art (such as the Yoshi's Safari boxart you uploaded) goes into the general "Category:Game image" category, such as

Italics[edit]
Hello, GreatMarioFan2011! Thanks for your contributions. When writing titles for media like games, films, TV shows, and publications, please remember to italicize them. This is done by placing two straight apostrophes (not quotation marks or curly apostrophes) on both sides of the title, or clicking on the I icon above the text box and typing out the title. For example, typing out ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]'' generates Super Mario Bros.
If you are using a device that uses curly ("smart") punctuation, you may need to disable this function in your device's settings to be able to type out the correct apostrophes. |

Re: new buttons[edit]
Editing the default button displays is a VERY big change, and one that should not be done without a discussion and consensus. I ask you to please revert all those button icons to their previous state, at least for now. If you want to try again, start a discussion on an appropriate talk page and maybe write a proposal. — eviemaybe

I agree with Evie; and as I said in my summary, I think the plain designs are more appropriate since the buttons are meant to be for generic and universal use, whereas the colours make them look more specialised. The gradients for the directional buttons also aren't as clear, and they're hard to see in dark mode, so that's something to consider as well. Mario JC 09:49, March 13, 2026 (UTC)
