Preview button[edit]

Hello. If you want to see how your edit looks without actually saving the page, click the "Show preview" button. This way you can adjust the page before you save and avoid frequent edits. Additionally, mark any small adjustments you make "minor". Thanks! Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 15:52, 24 October 2017 (EDT)

Please follow this, as your edits are also filling the Recent Changes. Additionally, please be sure to go over your images using the following information:

Hello, Courtney. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded coding is shown below.

Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line of the variable(s) you don't use. If you do not wish to use the template at all, then it is acceptable to simply remove it before you upload the file. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using aboutfile incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, Courtney. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

or

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Unrelated, but where did you find the image of the Smash Bros. pencil case? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 20:35, 24 October 2017 (EDT)

Images[edit]

Are the images you're uploading meant just for your userpage, or are you planning on including them elsewhere, too? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 19:36, 26 October 2017 (EDT)

I had the same suspicions. Courtney's uploads don't seem to be useful elsewhere. I would either tag them as personal-image (max of four per policy and Courtney is sporting five) or delete them. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 23:08, 26 October 2017 (EDT)
Eh, the Smash Bros. pencil box can probably go on a merchandise page (though I'd like to know the source of it), but I'd like to hear from Courtney soon before we do something. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 15:45, 27 October 2017 (EDT)

I found the Super Smash Bros. Pencil case in https://www.pinterest.com/pin/305822630922878467/This is where i found it.

And the other images? If you're uploading them just for your userpage, I'm afraid some will have to be deleted, as you are only allowed up to four. Additionally, you have been focusing on your userpage quite extensively over the past couple of days. Please try to edit more actual articles. Now I am starting to have concerns that Courtney doesn't have much interest in improving the wiki. The images being uploaded don't seem to have much value improving Ness or Lucas. We have sufficient imagery for those topics. There is also File:NessSSB.PNG when my upload was fine as-is. However you are obtaining N64 screenshots, emulators often get them wrong with default settings and plug-ins. Check out my WIP. I have gotten more consistent results with the angrylion graphics plug-in and I feel it follows our image use policy the best. I would recommend uploading images that are wanted or need a quality adjustment (Category:Articles that need an image). That would be more constructive uploading than what you are currently doing. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 01:55, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
If they upload another image without responding, I'll do something about this. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 12:02, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
Did something about it. Found a place for the pencil box and Lucas images, not sure where to put the other Ness images, so marked those as personal images. Please do try to do more than upload random images for your user page, though. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 12:07, 4 November 2017 (EDT)

Consecutive edits[edit]

Please avoid making multiple consecutive edits like this. In such cases, you should use the "Show preview" button as you were reminded above, which lets you see what the page looks like with the new changes before actually saving your edits and prevents flooding the history page and recent changes with unnecessary edit records. Small edits like spelling fixes (more examples found here) should also be marked as minor. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 20:07, 13 October 2018 (EDT)

Ice dragon[edit]

Hello! Please do not continue to edit the ice dragon page to capitalize "ice", as the name in the official source is not capitalized, meaning it should only receive capitalization at the beginning of a sentence. --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.TheFlameChomp (talk) 09:01, 10 November 2018 (EST)

Italics[edit]

Is there any reason you're removing the double apostrophes from game titles? Game titles need to be italicised, so they should stay. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 19:00, 29 January 2019 (EST)

Spirit event[edit]

The event ended on January 1 in America, which is generally the date we go with when mentioned on articles, so please stop changing it back. If you see a change you made isn't there anymore, it's a good idea to check the history page first to see why it was reverted.

Also, when you're adding a word next to a linked or formatted word (inSuper Smash Bros. for Wii U, theKoopalings), it should be treated as any normal word and should still have a space separating the two (in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, the Koopalings).
