When uploading, select the license from the drop-down box below the summary text box, or add the license manually after uploading or if you're using the upload function from the text editor. For example, artwork of Mario would use {{character-artwork}}. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates; choose the one that you feel best fits the file. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups: Images Audio/video files Company images Film images Game images Merchandise images Publication images System images Television series images Website images Company media files Film media files Game media files Merchandise media files Publication media files System media files Television series media files Website media files When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: [[Category:Super Mario World images]] or [[Category:Super Mario World media files]] Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. File:SM3DWBF Screenshot Cat Plessie Kittens.png appears to be a jpg to png conversion. Can you confirm that's what happened? I see you cropped it, so it's possible you captured as a jpg and then saved as a png. Be aware that this goes against our image policy. 00:16, May 15, 2021 (EDT)

I'm not sure if you're going to respond, but I wanted to apologize for not knowing about this earlier. I thought .png was always the preferred format. I also saw that many of the images I tried to replace from Bowser's Fury were in .png format, likely because they were computer screenshots and not game captures. I've already started to upload new screenshots as .jpgs. Is it necessary to change the existing .pngs? As far as I'm aware, doing so manually would be a very large process that I don't think I'm up for right now. 0blivion (talk) 23:43, May 15, 2021 (EDT)
