Create List of [subject] alter egos articles

This is a project which has, technically, been gradually developing for almost a year.

On this wiki, there are various alter-egos which do not originate from either Super Mario (Kodansha manga) nor The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! which are... just not really covered. Generally speaking, they are often just merged into the article of their "normal counterpart" and reduced to a minor footnote, or they are mentioned in passing on the page for the media they originate from.

Sometimes, there is a good reason for this, of course. Even now, I still don't think that Otosan Yoshi/Mario in a bad Yoshi disguise really needed its own page. But on the other hand, it would be nice if there was somewhere to find them all in one place without having to arbitrarily scroll through dozens of pages which are invariably designed to cover something else entirely.

For some time, I have been trying to think of a way to address this issue, and what I am currently developing is something like the List of King Koopa's alter egos in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! page, but with a broader scope, encompassing all alter-egos for the given character.

Thus far, I have (mostly) functional pre-release versions of these pages for Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and Princess Peach. While a list of characters/alter-egos who may (or may not) qualify for a page, as well as my current planned criteria for inclusion, can be found here.

The project is something I think will positively affect several articles, but it also contains a few issues which should be addressed before we could consider implementing this anywhere. It could also use some input from some more experienced editors than myself.

Clarifications and footnotes

For brevity purposes, I chose to move some of the side-points and clarifications to their own dedicated section. Otherwise, the proposal's summary would likely be far too much to casually read through.

• Clarification 1: This project is not planned to directly affect either the List of King Koopa's alter-egos in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! page, or the List of Bowser's alter egos in Super Mario (Kodansha manga) page. Given the size of these two pages, I feel that they are best left as independent articles. However, it might affect the recently-created List of Bowser's alter-egos disambiguation page, as that page could be used to cover the Bowser alter-egos not originating from the other two series previously mentioned.
• Clarification 2: This project will not attempt to merge alter-egos who already have their own articles into these pages. Things like Dr. Mario, Mr. L, Rookie, Leo Luster, and other subjects like them would be linked to on these pages, but would not be outright merged to them. Any thoughts about doing so are a debate to address at another time. (And it is not a proposition I would support...)
