It is the first badge received, specifically being given by a Pea after defeating the rampaging Queen Bean and leaving Beanbean Castle, who then instructs the player on how to use badges. Its only effect is some slight stat boosts. In the original, it increases POW by 8 points, and additionally increases BP by 4 points in the Japanese version and 6 points in international releases. In the remake, it increases POW by 10 points and BP by four points. In all versions, it can be sold for ten coins.
