Hello there, 'Shroom readers! It's that time of year to break out the fall colors again. I think this is my favorite seasonal theme for The 'Shroom, or maybe that's just because I like fall. Speaking of fall, if you like having background music on while you read the paper, you know what's a good tune? "Maple Treeway" from Mario Kart World! If you haven't heard that one, look it up, it's good.
We're pretty light on public announcements right now, so I'll keep my notes here brief. Things will be ramping up over the next few months though, including our January special! We'll have an announcement on the theme in October's issue, so keep an eye out for that.
Also, a word on 'Shroomfest for those interested: You may remember that in our campaign, we were considering a second run of the event around this time of the year, depending on community energy. After assessing engagement with the Ducks vs. Rabbits 'Shroomfest, we've come to the conclusion that it's better suited for quieter periods in the community. At the moment, there's enough currently happening and upcoming on the forums for folks to engage with that we don't think it would be beneficial to run another 'Shroomfest at this time. Perhaps we'll see it again in 2027!

Happy National Talk Like a Pirate Day everyone! Besides that, it's also a brand new 'Shroom release and it's the perfect time for all you students out there to take your mind off of homework and check out on some great sections by many writers to make you smile and laugh!
It's only five days until my most hyped game of the year releases! Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis is what I've been looking forward to the most this year ever since it was announced in February. To pass the time, I decided to play through two other games by the makers of Kingdom Rush (Ironhide Game Studio) - Iron Marines and its sequel, Iron Marines Invasion! Both are fantastic real-time strategy games that anyone can enjoy. Currently I'm playing through another game by Ironhide, Junkworld TD, and while it's not as good as Kingdom Rush, it's still a fun time.
Talk about a quieter announcement page this month; we only have one guest section! ClawgripFan9001 (talk) provided a News Flush where the underrated Diddy Kong gets crowned as the new leader of the Kong family! Check out how and why he did in Fake News! Hopefully the future continues being bright for him, right?
