Hello there, 'Shroom readers! If you haven't heard, our next special issue is coming up next month, where we'll be looking up into the sky! And as many people will probably tell you, a fun activity when you're looking up into the sky is gazing at the clouds and interpreting their shapes, so that's exactly what we'll be doing. We'll have a gallery of imagined shapes in the clouds as a special feature in Issue 230, and this is where you come in! Please read the instructions below to learn how you can participate.

  1. Get a picture of some clouds! You can either find one on the internet, or take one yourself, if you prefer. We want to get a good look at those clouds, so make sure they're the focus of the image - avoid trees, physical structures, and things of that sort getting in the way. (We won't object to a bird cameo, though!)
  2. Open the picture up in your preferred image editing program, and start drawing what you see in the clouds over it! It can be as simple or elaborate as you'd like. It doesn't need to be an artistic masterpiece as long as it's legible, but if you're feeling especially creative, feel free to embellish as your heart desires. The important thing is to have fun with it!
  3. Send the final image to Waluigi Time and Sparks in a private conversation on the Mario Boards no later than Saturday, May 16th, 2026. You may revise or replace your submitted image up to the deadline, but please note that we will only be taking one image per user for the final feature.
