Would it not be appropriate to change the name of this page from Tick-Tock Clock (DS) to Tick-Tock Clock (Course) seeing as it's in more than one game, and would distinguish from Mario 64 DS? Trig Jegman (talk) 10:10, 13 May 2018 (EDT) STJ

It was "Tick-Tock Clock (race course)" originally ("(course)" isn't specific enough as the SM64 one is also considered a "course" in-game), but it was renamed due to a recent change to MarioWiki:Article naming. This was done to reflect the in-game naming conventions of retro courses in the series which use abbreviations of the system they originated from. Mario JC 21:34, 13 May 2018 (EDT)

How about a different question: Does it need the identifier? I understand the "(DS)" is meant to group it with the others, but it is the only article with the name "Tick-Tock Clock". The course from Super Mario 64 is Tick Tock Clock, lacking the hyphen, and the stars with the name Tick Tock Clock in them also lack a hyphen. 00:18, February 24, 2020 (EST)

Coin count

I was counting the coins in this track and apparently there are 60 coins in the entirety 9 pairs of 6 coins, with leftover pairs of 4 and 2 coins.

I feel like either this is a coincidence or it was intended, referencing the 60 minutes on a clock.

This is all I have for now though

I have readded the disambiguation at the top of the page

Context: I had added something at the top of the page, and it was an addition to the disambiguation that was at the top of the page, adding the level from Super Mario 64. The Dab Master reverted my change, then deleted the whole disambiguation at the top entirely, listing "Unnecessary because of the identifier", so I readded it because that's fair. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Corestompy (talk).

It seems you would like to bait me into an edit war, so I'm gonna have to state something right there The template is actually helpful, because there are other mentions of Tick Tock Clock not just on the wiki, but the games and media themselves. The fact you deleted it and undid my edits means you don't like truth. This also applies to @The Dab Master as well.

So, with that logic, me adding the SM64 level to the template is actually justified because it is also in the game.

The fact you both are willing to even try to do this is just pathetic. I do not want to get an edit war, so please try to heed this warning: The next time you attempt this, I'll go to the mods and the boards. How's that for size?

First of all, you should be a bit more respectful towards other users. Nobody is trying to "bait you" into doing anything, the only person actually "edit warring" here is you. It is also quite likely that Xiahou Ba, The Nasty Warrior knows more about the rules better than you do, given that she has been a contributor for far longer than you have, and used to be a wiki bureaucrat. Attempting to threaten users over a petty disagreement like this is also a Warnable offense.

Secondly, "the other Tick Tock Clock" is already linked elsewhere in the article proper, twice. It is present in the opening paragraph, as well as the infobox. (In the section labeled "Based on", no less.)

Wandering Poplin has summed up what both The Dab Master and I were trying to do quite succinctly but for clarifications sake I'm not trying to "bait" you into an edit war. Also, while I did resign from being a bureaucrat, I still have access to staff channels on forums and on Discord and I still regularly contribute to discussions on there, so I do have direct mod consultation.
