The conjectural name policy states that things should be moved to an official name once one has been found. The birth of this proposal from the flames of the- okay, that's far too dramatic. What I'm trying to say is the reason I'm making this proposal is to determine whether or not a specific name for this, Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Flash game), Wario Land: Shake It! bag game, Mario Kart Wii item-matching game, and Mario Party 8 dice game is acceptable.
On the microsite, each game is referred to as something in a small grey box above the playing field, alongside the day number. The names are as follows:
- Wario Land: The Shake Dimension
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- Mario Kart (Wii/DS)
- Mario Party (Wii/DS)
The part I can't decide on is if these are referring to the games themselves or the products they're made to promote. For instance, the Mario Party 8-themed Flash game has nothing to do with Mario Party DS, yet is named after it. The Mario Kart Wii-themed Flash game isn't related to Mario Kart DS at all, yet is named after it. However, both games show up in the "details" section for the games they're made to promote. Another wrench in the mix is that both games are also shown on the icon that leads to the game/details, so technically the Flash game could be promoting both while being themed after one.
So, in conclusion, if the proposal were to pass, these games would be moved to these titles (with "(Flash game)" added to those sharing a title with something else). Super Smash Bros. Brawl is already at this title, so the conjectural template would just be dropped.

Sonny, true love is the greatest thing in the world - except for a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean... (Support)[edit]
- Inigo "Nelsonic" Montoya (talk) This might be the longest and least related-to-the-subject-matter quote I've ever used, but per proposal.
- Altendo (Flash game) I mean, these are official names given to the games. These also aren't just copy-pasted from the main games, as Wario Land: The Shake Dimension and Mario Party Wii are used despite not being the names of the main games, being Wario Land: Shake It! and Mario Party 8, respectively. And yes, I do support using the full names (Wii/DS), as even though they can be misleading, which I usually don't like, they are official, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl already does this. I am a bit confused why this is a TPP on only one of the affected pages rather than a standard proposal, though.
- Rykitu (talk) Per all.
- Hewer (talk) Per Altendo, and the "(Flash game)" identifier is more in line with policy.
Move the games to feature the (Nintendo Adventskalender) parenthetical, do not use (DS/Wii) for Mario Party and Mario Kart Wii (True love is the best thing in the world, except for cough drops.)[edit]
- Nelsonic (talk) Second choice; per Camwoodstock.
- Rykitu (Nintendo Adventskalender) Another good option.
- Camwoodstock (talk) Obviously, per our own comments; we figure it makes sense to give these all a unifying parenthetical to denote they're part of the same advent calendar series.
- Altendo (Altendo Adventskalender) Second choice.
Inconceivable![edit]
Comments (You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.)[edit]
I'm... a bit confused. Could you clarify this a bit further for me? Wandering Poplin (talk) 17:58, January 15, 2026 (EST)
- @Wandering Poplin Oops. Yeah, upon re-reading, this is a little... Well. It looks like my train of thought derailed itself. I was attempting to say that these Flash games seem to be named, though the names in question might just be referring to the products that they're themed after, since two of the games' names only partially relate to the content itself. Both games in question pop up in the "Details" section for each game on the microsite, however, in which the user can read about each of the games being promoted via the microsite. In addition, though, both games (MKDS/MKWii and MPDS/MP8) are shown together on the individual advent calendar icons on the main menu. The object of the proposal... before I derailed myself... is to figure out whether these names are suitable for the games.

Looking at the page itself (and Flashpoint itself), these all stem from the Herzlich Willkommen zum Grossen Nintendo Adventskalender Flash-based Advent Calendar, right? Perhaps alternative names for the pages could be "<game name> (Nintendo Adventskalender)"?

- @Camwoodstock That could work. To confirm, do you mean as opposed to (Flash game) (i.e. Wario Land: The Shake Dimension (Nintendo Adventskalender), or Mario Party 8 (Nintendo Adventskalender) as opposed to Mario Party (Wii/DS)?

- As opposed to both, we suppose? Primarily, it'd be nice to get rid of the (Wii/DS), but seeing as these are all meant to be part of one whole cohesive advent calendar, we might as well give them all it, even the ones that'd normally have (Flash game), just to help distinguish that better.

- @Camwoodstock Got it. ....Mostly. So, just to make sure I understand, which are the alternate titles you're suggesting(As in, the parenthetical plus [title])?

- We suppose, just "Wario Land: The Shake Dimension (Nintendo Adventskalender)", "Super Mario Galaxy (Nintendo Adventskalender)", "Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Nintendo Adventskalender)", "Mario Kart (Nintendo Adventskalender)", and "Mario Party (Nintendo Adventskalender)", yeah?

- @Camwoodstock That works. I’ll add another option to the proposal.
