Are these in Donkey Kong Bananza?[edit]

I remember seeing a few of them that would leave behind a gold flake. Are those different to the subject of this article? Both of them seem to have near identical behavior.

Indeed they are. It would be great if someone could add that information to the article. - Nintendo101 (talk) 22:30, February 24, 2026 (UTC)
I know SMO and DKB share devteams, dev histories, and assets, but if we're including ones from multiple games that are only explicitly names in one, what is separating from the similar skittish animals found in, for instance, Yoshi's Island with its birds, butterflies, and frogs, or the GBA remakes of the first two DKC games with their miniature frogs and spiders wandering levels? Because they do not share dev teams, histories, assets, in addition to gameplay application, which are uniquely all shared between Odyssey and Bananza. - Nintendo101 (talk) 03:24, February 25, 2026 (UTC)
What factor disqualifies the crabs in Super Mario 3D World, which meet those criteria? B700465189a9 (talk) 03:27, February 25, 2026 (UTC)
Crabs are covered in this article as well and I do think they are mechanical extensions of them, it just had an article before I made this one and I was unsure how to incorporate it at the time. - Nintendo101 (talk) 03:29, February 25, 2026 (UTC)
I think the crabs found in Super Mario 3D World should have part or all of their history moved here. Also, should the small, flying bats found in the Tempest Layer and Radiance Layer be covered in this article. TheCatLover738 (talk) 12:36, February 25, 2026 (UTC)
