Nintendo Direct, May 17[edit]
Nabbit is a playable character exclusive to multiplayer mode. He can't use the items he collects, but he isn't hurt by enemies. New Super Luigi U will also be made available as a somewhat more expensive standalone retail product after its release as DLC for New Super Mario Bros. U.

Edit: Sorry for the broken formatting, and the vagueness, and the lack of signature. My memory of the formatting is a bit foggy. Or maybe I'm normally just this sloppy. The point is, someone else, preferably someone more coherent, needs to add this information to the article, with the citations and whatnot. For reference, here's the Nintendo Direct. The picture of Invincible Luigi is Mario. Look at the hat. You see half of an M.
Similar issue for Propellor. Mario is lifting Luigi and Mario isn't even in the game.

help with the trivia[edit]
Can someone edit the trivia for me because this page is protected and I'm not autconfirmed. Well you can jump on to the flagpole when the last two digits of the clock is the same, and you get an item from toad. When you jump on the flagpole at 077 seconds you get a super acorn, at 066 you get a mini mushroom, 055 an ice, 044 fire flower, and 033, 022,and 011 you get a 1-up. so can someone put that in for me. --73.10.80.62 15:33, 13 January 2016 (EST)

Alright are we going to keep that line of trivia (Aside from their sub-species, Goombas do not appear in this game at all.) or get rid of it?? I think we should keep it. It is a good trivia question.

Incorrect Images[edit]
Seriously, the image for the Big Deep Cheep is of a Big Cheep Cheep and is from NSMBW, but nobody seems to have noticed yet. If anyone reads this, they should change it to a more appropriate image. Sorry this is unsigned!

- I couldn't find a Big Deep Cheep render, but I did change the image to a Deep Cheep (also from NSMBW). It will have to do unless a Big Deep Cheep render from this game does get uploaded.

Fix Level Name for the Cog description[edit]

Let me tell you: What I did to NSMBU should be done to NSLU. Then, these two pages will be consistent with each other.
For example...
- Merging the box for info on the Dragoneel's red and purple variants into one box
- Replacing most renders from the enemies of NSMBW for official artwork
- Giving the "Worlds" section a mockup
