Move to Bowser Castle (Mario Kart: Super Circuit theme)[edit]

"Bowser Castle" is the official English name given to the theme's arrangement in Mario Kart World's 1.4.0 update, and since other musical themes that don't have an official English name for the original theme simply use the name of an arrangement that's similar enough to the Japanese name (e.g. Peach Beach (theme), Ground BGM (Super Mario Land), Main Theme (Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins)), I think it's only logical for this theme to follow suit.

Support[edit]

  1. Wilben (talk) Per above.
  2. PrincessPeachFan (talk) If it's an English in-game name, then this is obvious.
  3. Arend (talk) DS Mario Circuit (theme) and Luigi Circuit/Mario Circuit were renamed to Figure-8 Circuit (theme) and Luigi Circuit (Mario Kart Wii theme) respectively, because of Mario Kart World. This would only be fair.
  4. Yoshi18 (talk) Per all. I don't see a good reason why not.

I recently brought this up here. I would rather we decide on and codify a consistent policy for these situations than handling it in individual proposals. Hewer (talk · contributions · edit count) 15:45, December 11, 2025 (EST)

I think the English name should take priority in this case, as Mario Kart World typically names most of its arrangements pretty generically similarly to the Super Smash Bros. series, naming them by what someone may expect the name to be (e.g. "Ground BGM", "Title Screen", "Main Theme"). Wilben (talk) 17:02, December 11, 2025 (EST)
Agreed. It's in-game which automatically takes highest priority. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 08:46, December 12, 2025 (EST)
Not for music it doesn't. Hewer (talk · contributions · edit count) 11:39, December 12, 2025 (EST)
And yet, as Arend pointed out, the names got renamed because of World. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 07:05, December 13, 2025 (EST)
Well, DS Mario Circuit is different since there is no official name for the original, Japanese or otherwise, so the only names we have are for arrangements. I'll give you the Mario Kart Wii names though. Hewer (talk · contributions · edit count) 07:38, December 13, 2025 (EST)
