Shooting Star is a minigame in the game Mario Tennis. The only character able to play this game is Luigi. In the game the Ball Bot shoots tennis balls at Luigi. Luigi must then hit the balls at a star that is floating above the course. Luigi gets 1 point for hitting the star and 7 points for hitting it with a smash shot, and the points earned double with each consecutive shot that hits the star. Beating the challenge high score of 60 also unlocks the Castle Court.
