You'd better fix it, you can copy the code from the template directly, minus the category entry. I'm so tired of these dumb advertisements, most them are advertising pornography and I'm sick of it why did steve allow advertisements on this wiki? there's non on wikipedia, userpedia or the homestar runner wiki, in fact this is the only wiki I know that has them SmartyGuy11, {{{1}}}

We have advertisement because this is the only way to pay the server bill and allow the site to exist. According to Steve, there was a big drop in AD revenues, which is why there is more of them. --Blitzwing 06:57, 15 March 2008 (EDT)

Hi. Just wanted to apologize for getting mad at you at the proposal, and to ask you a few things. The main reason I put the comic here is because it seemed easier to update... oh, well.

Anyway, since I'm never around and I tend to have to leave in the middle of whatever I'm doing, could you please move my comic to Userpedia once the proposal goes through? Well, in the beginning I supported the proposal. I merely switched because I thought about the competition between spammers and who could spam "the best" to get it archived. That's the only reason I switched sides. I still thought it'd be a good idea to teach n00bs what not to do, and for laughs. (BTW, my favorite bad writing snippet on your page is the "Good Egg Galaxy" one. XD) I was really torn between sides, but I figured it was better to "protect" the MarioWiki from spam competitions than to have the archive. ...But I still think it's gonna be hilarious to have! I had no idea until today cauze i wasn't online for the past couple days but no where in the rules does it say you arn't allowed to talk about any of that stuff so I should be let back on immediatly. Possible Solution?

Try and block "User:189.28.0.0/16" Xzelion^ETC I believe the 0.0/16 works as a wild card.

There shouldn't be an edits, the 0.0/16 represnts any number that might possible come after the 189.28 the IP of the vandal. It should work. Xzelion^ETC

I'll let you know that while I have addressed Stumpers about this, I can see that the above message might be misleading. I added the relationship sections back, as it seemed most people agreed on the fact we had imagery for proof, that it was ok to keep it. Even though the last person to edit them out before me said that we agreed to remove them, you can see on the talk page otherwise. As you can tell, the relationship sections are no more speculation than any other relationship section on this wiki. Everyone knows it's general knowledge that relationship sections are based on hints from Nintendo and the games, and no one has had any issues until now. Also, I refused to continue in the risk of continuing the edit war Toadette4evur started. Fixitup

Fake News Trouble

I have a question for you. You know how when someone doesn't send you their section, you put (I1) next to their position; Well, if someone were to let you know (ahead of time) that they can't get the section to you, do you still put (I1) next to their position, or let it slide? I'm asking because 2 users have told me they can't get their Fake News sections completed. I don't know if I should let it slide, or put an (I1) next to their Fake News position. This is ridiculous! Anything I say on this wiki is taken as offensive, when I make sure to not say anything that would be considered a flam! Noob Calling Sysop

Yep, I'm that noob that you welcomed some time in February, Dom. I randomly chose you because a) You're a Sysop I know of, and b) I should probably talk to some different people for once.

OK, I'm too noobish to know how to do something on my Userpage: I have a Word Document that has lots of small tables with numbers and writing. I want to put this stuff on the page, but even creating a table won't work properly. It's game related, the stuff I want to put in.

Now, being a noob, I should probably do more editing than random messages and putting weird stuuf on my page. I would if my school internet credit didn't run out so quickly. (some pages use 20 cents out of the monthly $5!

Yeah anyway, you're not a failure of a Sysop (I saw that on some other page).

• Q: You know how most pages have a screenshot of something in a game? (like an attack or something)... Well, how do I take a good quality screenshot? I want to add some to the image-less pages, but my phone camera is only 2 megapixels, and even with a good camera, I dunno how to do a good one.

• C: I thought my Talk page was getting long (Stooben Rooben told me I should probably archive about now - but yours is 55k, WOWSER!

Mario Kart 64

Hey, I have a question about the Mario Kart 64 page and Dom who I know in real life told me to ask you this.

Anyway, I was reading through this page and noticed the request to expand/rewrite the page so I searched through the page and realised theres a seperate page for each course listed on this page. Some of these were only related to this one game and I was wondering what is the point of having separate pages of courses and things if they only appear on one game. Since the page needs expanding it would be wise to maybe add the info from these courses onto the same page so people don't have to keep clicking on the links to view each course but rather this is getting rid of pointless pages which only include one paragraph with little info. I suggest that these pages get deleted and the information be placed into a table with the courses on the page.

If this is too big to ask, maybe we could just add the information to each cup page like Here. So I personally think at the moment there are too many links and pages for courses which are mostly on each came, especially the battle courses.

Hopefully you know what I mean and have at least played this game lol.

Ok, thanks for the reply firstly. Well, I do see what you mean and it was just an idea since the Mario Kart 64 page needs "expanding/rewriting", but I cannot see much else to add unless I maybe read through the manual which I might actually do later. But as I am new to the wiki, I am still learning how this system works and Dom is helping me during recess/lunch breaks at school which is good ;). Anyway, I will definitely keep this in mind.

Anyway, I'm surprised at the low quality of some major articles. Such as Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, which is a game, therefore deserving of a good article. You should have seen the dumb things written in the Opening Movie section. Crikey. From now on, I'll just search random pages and read them thoroughly for mistakes.

Also, the Prankster Comet article had a shocking mistake in the image caption, as if no-one noticed.

Thanks for doing that major change to the Final Smash page based on my vague Proposal. It was too late at night for me to do it...you beat me. Actually, your idea of changing it to a simple list of links is better than what I was thinking.

I'm still thinking abut whether to sign up for the 'Shroom or not - could I make a new section called Dimentio's Inbox? (until I think of a better name...) The idea is to have me pretending to be Dimentio, and a certain limited number of users can write questions to me (in the Shroom section, not my talk page), as in questions about life problems or as if they want me to be their counsellor, then I reply to them all, Dimentio-style. For example, people as asking for help would receive replies telling them to send people annoying them to Dimension D, or something like that.

Do you think this Shroom section would work? If so, I'd be glad to sign up.

I remember a while back you were talking about wanting to bring a type of source citing to the Wiki where you would do something like this: "Mario defeated Bowser and Bowser Jr. by overturning the tub. (SMS)" I forget what it was called, but you showed me an example (a much better one with templates and such) from the Transformers Wiki. Are you still interested in getting these on this Wiki, too? I was thinking about minor subjects that show up across many, many games, such as the Banana -- I really think it would help those articles, where you can't just create a new section for every game they appear in. Sounds great. I really like the separation by game we have in the articles, so we're thinking on the same page here. I think the only time I'd use storylinks to put multiple games together would be in the character discription sections (personality, etc.), and in an article like Mario or Donkey Kong, where there are four games that come together to make a very brief story: Donkey Kong was in Mario's circus (Donkey Kong Circus), wentand kidnapped Pauline (Donkey Kong) in Big Ape City (Donkey Kong Country), was captured by Mario (Donkey Kong), but then freed by DK Jr. (DK Jr., DK II). I suppose this technique could even be used to bring in bits from "questionable canon" (ugh) sources so that people who believe those sources are canon can read them and those who don't can pass over them. I'm thinking like in the above example, I deliberately stopped myself from writing, "Donkey Kong escaped from the circus. (Saturday Supercade)". It's Not my Eyes...

I'm having trouble uploading new versions of Brawl trophy images I uploaded - they looked really bad so since then I've edited them to make them brighter and sharper - they're clearly better, but when I tried to upload the new versions with the same filename - it said it was successful but they haven't changed at all - although the file size has got bigger! I need help - do I upload my better ones to new file names and ask someone to delete the old crap versions?

WTF - Half of the time it does work...

Those images I showed you just above are the good versions, after being fixed. However, my original Dialga one which was crap, seems to have changed successfully, so can you please delete File:DialgaTr Better.jpg? Also, my first version of Cresselia's trophy here: File:Cresselia Trophy.jpg is low quality - please delete it, I uploaded a new version: File:CresseliaTr Better.jpg. The Palkia one worked though.

BTW, please archive to save my dial-up connection! Yes, I don't even have broadband ...
