'''Sunshine Isles''' is a multiplayer level and an extra level added exclusively to ''[[Super Mario 64 DS]]'', located in a painting inside the [[Rec Room (Super Mario 64 DS)|Rec Room]]. In the regular mode, it has five [[Silver Star]]s that the player must collect for a [[Power Star]]. The level has a group of islands, which are connected by shallow water. In the multiplayer version, it is one of the four courses, where players must fight to earn stars. The music has been changed, there are no enemies, and a yellow box that had a green shell now contains a feather that can be used by character, like [[Battle Fort|The Secret Of Battle Fort]].

Several of the islands have palm trees and some also have grass covering them, though each is made up of sand. [[Klepto]] circles the one area of the course, with two Lakitus hovering over others. One the center island, there is a sleeping [[Piranha Plant]] and a [[Goomba]], with another Goomba on one of the other islands. If the player tries to leave the area, they will be stopped by an invisible wall. On the northern island is a [[! Block]] containing a [[Shiny Shell]].

The player must collect the five Silver Stars to make the Power Star appear. Silver stars are scattered throughout the isle, including inside a cavern or on the top of trees. A [[Klepto]] is also holding a Silver Star and the player must intercept the Klepto in order to gain the Silver Star. If the player touches an enemy, the player will lose one Silver Star that will jump around, just like how they do before the player obtains one.  
One Power Star can be collected in this course. Located around the isles are five [[Silver Star]]s the player has to collect. Once all of the Silver Stars are collected, the Power Star will appear in the [[Star Sphere]] on the island the player started on. The locations of the Silver Stars are:

Sunshine Isles is an additional course in Super Mario 64 DS. The entrance to the course is the painting in the Rec Room, which requires one Power Star to access. It is also a selectable stage in the game's multiplayer mode. The course is based on and named after Super Mario Sunshine, with the course's music being an arrangement of Delfino Plaza's theme.
