This article is under construction. Therefore, please excuse its informal appearance while it is being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible.

Template:Species-infobox Humans are one of the many sapient species that appear throughout the Mario franchise. They are not nearly as numerous as other species, such as Toads, Piantas, Goombas, and Koopa Troopas, with the exception of the Metro Kingdom.

Some instances of humans are implied. For example, the skeletons of what appear to be humans can be found shackled in chains in several of the sunken ships in the area Gloomy Galleon in the game Donkey Kong 64.

In an early version of Super Mario Sunshine, human citizens were originally planned to appear, but were removed for unknown reasons. One human disguised as a Pianta, Il Piantissimo, remains in the final game.

In New Donk City from Super Mario Odyssey, realistic humans known as New Donkers are the local species, forming most of the city's population.
