Ali Mustafa

Ali Mustafa is a tie-seller from Cairo, Egypt. He only briefly appears once in the Mario series, namely in the comic "Mario's Picross", published in the German Club Nintendo magazine. Mario meets him when he loses his way in the desert. Ali Mustafa, wearing at least a dozen ties himself, offers some to the plumber. Mario, who doesn't need a tie, but a drink, gets angry and shooes the seller away. He does not know, however, that a cocktail bar he finds later requires him to wear a tie in order to enter. Not much else is known about Ali Mustafa, except that he wears an orange robe and a blue turban, and that he claims to have the best ties in Egypt.
