Neil is one of the main characters of Mario Golf: Advance Tour. He, along with Ella, is a student of the great golfer, Kid.

Neil appears to be the more energetic and competitive of the two, while Ella seems to be calmer and open-minded. He's very big on leveling up, and like his friend and rival Buzz, hopes one day hopes to become an ultimate golfer. However, he can sometimes be lazy and a bit too reckless.

Using the GameCube Gameboy Advance Link Cable, Neil and Ella can be transferred to Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, and can be played on the GameCube.

Neil bears a design reminiscent to Kid's Mario Golf design, Alex from Mario Tennis, and Plum. He has flat, brown hair flattened by a blue baseball cap, flipped backwards. His eyes are a hazel brown. He wears a yellow vest over a blue T-shirt, and blue shorts. His shoes are blue and white, and his golfing glove is white. His golfing bag is blue, and is described as muddy and dirty when examined.

Neil also bears similar appearance traits to his Mario Power Tennis counterpart, Max.

He also appears as a sticker in Super Smash Bros Brawl.
