Template:Galaxybox Haunty Halls Galaxy is a galaxy in World 3 in Super Mario Galaxy 2. This is the first galaxy to feature the Bulb Berry. In this galaxy, new enemies are found including Octoboos, and Mattermouths. There's also a passage which has Big Boos, and floors which are eaten by the Mattermouths. As the name implies, this galaxy is composed of smaller planetoids shaped like mansion halls with different features each.

Planets

Starting Planet

This planet is a long, curved hallway leading to a Launch Star. The player will encounter a few Octoboos moving in a circular pattern. The planet has three ? Blocks and a Teleporter. During the second mission, the planet will be much longer and form the shape of a semicircle. The player will encounter a Big Boo and four Boos that are larger than usual. The second part of the hallway has some missing pieces and there are also shrinking tiles.

Disappearing Paths Planet

Mario approaching the Disappearing Paths Planet.

As its name implies, this planet has moving paths that disappear when they come in contact with one of the walls. The player has to cross them carefully while trying to avoid the Octoboos and the gaps in the path. The paths become progressively faster and more oddly shaped as the player progresses through the planet. The Comet Medal is found at the end of this planet. The Warp Pipe at the end takes the player to the Hidden Halls Planet.

The majority of this planet is hidden. Only Bulb Yoshi can make the areas appear and cross them. The player will encounter Octoboos and a Smeech on this planet. Many Coin Blocks can be found here. This planet is based on one of the planets found in the Matter Splatter Mansion level from the Ghostly Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy, which it very closely resembles. The Power Star is located at the end of this planet, on top of a bookshelf.

Mattermouths.

This planet begins with the player landing on a platform with a Boo on it. The player will need to travel across the planet while avoiding the Boos. At the end, they will come across a Sling Star, which will take them to the main part of the planet. There will be Checkpoint Flag and a conveyor belt-like pathway that moves in the direction opposite of the way to the Power Star. The platform has some Boos and Mattermouths eating away at it. After that pathway has been crossed, there will be another platform followed by a curved conveyor belt-like path that also with Mattermouths eating away at it. On the final platform, the Big Boo and the four Boos appear again and will chase the player down a path of moving platforms and some Shrinking Tiles to the Power Star.

Mario and Yoshi about to get the Star.

The player will begin by landing on the Starting Planet. From their starting point, they must reach the Launch Star on the other side while avoiding the circling Octoboos. After taking the Launch Star, the player will need to navigate their way through the disappearing paths. Octoboos may be a nuisance when trying to do so. After getting past the two sets of paths, the player should take the warp pipe and find themselves on the Hidden Halls Planet. Using Bulb Yoshi, the player will need to navigate the hidden halls, opening doors and defeating enemies along the way. At the end, the player will need to use Yoshi to swing from a Flower Grapple and grab the Power Star.

Sneaking Down the Creepy Corridor

The player will start on a noticeably larger Starting Planet. About halfway along the planet, a Big Boo and four Boos will chase the player. They have to run away from the poltergeists and use the Launch Star. This time, the Launch Star won't lead the player to the Disappearing Paths Planet, but into the first half of the Creepy Corridor Planet. They have to avoid the Boos and the Mattermouths and make it to the next Launch Star.

On the next half, there are several Mattermouths eating the floor. The player has to walk along the hallway while avoiding them until he reaches a grave. The player will be chased by the Big Boo and his Boos again. The player must run away by jumping on the moving platforms. The Power Star is at the end.
