Mario on the Lava Lake Planet.

The planet has a lake of lava with some islands that contrast the scenery by being covered by snow. In the center of the lake there is one large island with a snow Bowser Statue surrounded by a ring of smaller islands. The Snowballs over them allow the player to make a snow platform over the lava to reach the other islands, although these platforms melt down a few seconds after they are formed. Other items found on this planet are Flying ? Blocks, more Goomba statues, a Fire Flower, and a Crate with a Star Bunny inside. Li'l Cinders and Fireballs are also present in this area. The player must use the Fire Flower and head over to the center of the planet, where the Bowser statue is. They must blast the Bowser statue with Fire Balls three times to reveal the Power Star.

Luigi traverse through the blizzard.

As its name implies, this planet is stuck in a perpetual blizzard, and therefore prevents the player from seeing clearly. There is a Goomba statue and a Star Bunny on it. It also has a slope with a Luma Shop at its end. On this planet, there is also a star-shaped area that can be accessed when Mario falls from the brown platform near the Star Bunny. This area contains three 1-Up Mushrooms and a Sling Star to get Mario back up to the main planet. The third Green Star is also found on it. On this planet, the player must find his way to the Launch Star, and then take it to the next planet.

Sorbetti on the Snowman's Body Planet

This is the planet where Mario battles Sorbetti. This planet is covered in snow with some snowy lumps sticking out from the surface. When Mario arrives on it, Sorbetti will fall and begin to roll around on this planet. Note that when Sorbetti falls on it and laughs, the planet will look like a lumpy Snowman with two hands, with Sorbetti serving as its head(hence the name of the planet).

Missions

Bowser on Ice

To get this Power Star, Mario first needs to transform into Fire Mario. Then, he has to get to the other side of the first planet and burn the snow Goomba Statue so he can use the Launch Star hidden in it. After he lands on the Snow Field Planet, he has to destroy the Snow Bowser Statue by hitting it three times with Fire Balls. Then, he has to slide down the tunnel to reach the Snow Fortress Planet.

Fire Mario throwing fire balls at the Snow Bowser Statue.

Here, he has to use the green Warp Pipe found under the snow blocks. Mario can break these blocks using the Fire Flower. After using the pipe, he'll find himself on the Lava Lake Planet. Here, he has to go around the planet to get a Fire Flower and go to the front of the snow Bowser Statue. After breaking it with three Fire Balls, Mario will be granted a Power Star.

Sorbetti's Chilly Reception

Mario vs Sorbetti.

When the player visits this galaxy for the second time, they'll notice that Rock Mushrooms now take the place of Fire Flowers. To get this Power Star, the player must make their way to Sorbetti. To do so, they first have to grab the Rock Mushroom, go to the bottom of the planet, and roll into the Goomba statue to access a hidden Launch Star. On the Snow Field Planet, the player has to search for the 5 Star Chips scattered throughout the planet and form another Launch Star. They must take the Launch Star to the Blizzard Planet. Here, the player has to go down the slope to reach the final Launch Star which launches them to Sorbetti. On this boss, there is a Sling Star which blasts the player to the Sorbetti Planet, the final planet in the mission. Here, the player must defeat Sorbetti by repeatedly spinning into the red bump that is Sorbetti's nose. When they have done this three times, they will get the Power Star for the mission.

Mario eliminating many Gummits.

First, the player has to head to the Snow Field Planet. Then (depending on which mission the player decides to do), they have to either burn or roll into one of the snow trees located on the right side of the planet to reveal a hidden Warp Pipe. After going through it, they will find The Chimp, who challenges the player to a skating challenge. The player will have to destroy the green and gold Gummits, while avoiding the purple spiked ones, and beat the monkey's record of 500 points within forty seconds. If the player does get 500 points or more, The Chimp will give them a Power Star.
