Template:Racecourse Ghost Valley 2 is a race course that first appeared in Super Mario Kart, and as a retro track in Mario Kart: Super Circuit and Mario Kart Wii.

Appearance in Super Mario Kart

Ghost Valley 2 is the second course of the Flower Cup in Super Mario Kart. Like the first, it is a dark bridge surrounded by Boos, and it is easy to accidentally fall from the stage, due to the blocks on the sides of the bridges being easily knocked off the course on contact. It is longer than the first, however, and features more sudden drop offs and sharp turns. It also features a zipper at the end of the course, which may save time but is difficult to use, since it is placed right after a curve at the edge of the track. Just after the zipper there is a jump line with a ? Panel behind. The Feather is of use at this course again: It can help the player to jump over the gap soon after the start, while others would normally take the regular track around (where the two ? Panels are).

Appearance in Mario Kart: Super Circuit

Ghost Valley 2 appeared in Mario Kart: Super Circuit, and is the third track in the Extra Flower Cup. It uses the background from Boo Lake. The Boost Pad and Ramp in front of the last Item Box were removed.

In Mario Kart Wii.

Ghost Valley 2 returns in Mario Kart Wii as the third track of the Shell Cup. Since there are no Feathers in the game, a ramp was placed at the shortcut, although light and middleweights don't need a boost to get across. In Time Trials the blocks on the side don't fall off when the player bumps into them, instead a few blocks fall off at the beginning of the race and as the race progresses. This is the shortest course in the game.

Mario Kart Wii

  • Sites
    • Flag of the United States of America since July 4, 1960. For North American (and sometimes South American) release dates. "Parts of the guard walls fall away as you bump them, making the track tougher as the race goes on."
    • Flag of the European Union (previously the European Economic Community). For European release dates. "If you drive as fast as you can, you might prevent fear from setting in. With Boos overhead, collapsing sides around the track and darkness below, there's plenty to be scared of in Ghost Valley!"

  • Ghost Valley 2 and Moo Moo Meadows are the only courses in Mario Kart Wii where a Tournament did not take place.
  • In Mario Kart Wii, the silhouette of what appears to be Luigi's Mansion can be seen in the background.
