:::He means it's just a beetle that burps. There's no proof whatsoever that burpin' beetles are separate species, considering that all species' names are capitalized, and neither the "b" in burpin' or beetle was capitalized, thus they are not species, implied or not. --[[User:Reversinator|Reversinator]] 10:23, 23 June 2011 (EDT)

Pokemon

Would it be worth putting implied Pokemon in this list? I'm talking about guys like Charmeleon and Wartortle, who are mentioned in trophy descriptions of Pokemon that exist in the Smash Bros. series. -- Booster

That information should be on the Wiki, like you said. Either be here or on the Pokemon page would probably work. Depending on the amount of information we're talking about, a single section on this page would probably work. Otherwise, what we could do is have an "Implied Pokemon" section on this page and link to the future section in the Pokemon article about implied Pokemon. Does that sound good? Stumpers! 21:13, 28 January 2009 (EST)

Sounds good. I suppose it should go on this page, since they're still only implied, but under a seperate heading or something. Maybe put a link near the bottom of the main Pokemon page or something. -- Booster (talk)

It's really a matter of personal opinion, and since you're taking on the task, I think you should be the one to make the call. Stumpers! 23:35, 28 January 2009 (EST)

I'll just go ahead and use this page. Thanks for your imput! -- Booster (talk)

I didn't realize how many implied Pokemon there were! Maybe this page isn't the place for them. -- Booster (talk)
Yeah, there are quite a few! Stumpers! 16:05, 29 January 2009 (EST)

Burpin' Beetle

Really? I mean, come on, I really doubt that Nintendo wanted to apply it as a species and it's just a bettle that burped. Just because it burps, it makes it a new species? It's like if a Shy Guy danced, he'd create the "Dancing Shy Guy" species. Hello, I'm Time Turner.

Mmhgrm: Dancing Spear Guy... Yeah, I agree with you. I would have removed it myself, but I haven't played TTYD so I wasn't sure if it was stated as "Burpin' Beetle" or "Are there burpin' Beetles around?" Remove if necessary. Redstar 18:14, 17 December 2009 (EST)

He means it's just a beetle that burps. There's no proof whatsoever that burpin' beetles are separate species, considering that all species' names are capitalized, and neither the "b" in burpin' or beetle was capitalized, thus they are not species, implied or not. --Reversinator 10:23, 23 June 2011 (EDT)

Pokémon - Needed?

Seriously, why do we need virtually meaningless information on dozens of ìmplied Pokémon at Super Mario Wiki? No offense, but this is like adding every character and anything briefly mentioned in a trophy description of something that is of no relevance for the wiki, other than that it is found in Smash Bros. --Grandy02 12:45, 17 May 2010 (EDT)

Yeah, why do we?--Starman125 12:50, 17 May 2010 (EDT)
I say we delete it. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
Can we make short section about how other species like Pokémon and things from other games are metioned in the SSB series? I really would rather know that than what type a Bayleef is. (grass, duh) ;) Blue Pianta Bowser's lumaArtwork of a Koopa Paratroopa in New Super Mario Bros. (later used in Mario Super Sluggers, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario Run) 21:13, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Isn't that rather obvious? I'm not sure if even that would be needed. --Grandy02 10:29, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
This sort of topic has come up frequently. All we do is give information as it relates to the Mario series. That includes SSB. We add all pertinent info on a character's trophy. No more. Implied pokemon could probably go with whatever trophy mentions it. e.g. Gulpin. Give info based on its role in SSBB. If necessary, what it evolves into. Only a brief description, though. This is a Mario wiki, after all. GG445 Me! "...?" heiho! 22:50, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
