According to the comments in this proposal, this article (and I'm assuming Lion as well) was excluded because it's appeared in some form in other Mario games. However, those already have their own articles, so I don't see why these need to stay. Mario JC 00:46, July 16, 2019 (EDT)

I believe the Flagman and Lion articles help people better understand the gameplay of the original Game & Watch games. The pages about their remakes talk about the gameplay in the Mario games, which can be slightly different. Dwhitney (talk) 17:39, July 24, 2019 (EDT)

@FOY: Why would a substantial history factor into whether or not something should be deleted? A lot of pages have been deleted even with a substantial history. TheDarkStar 23:36, September 23, 2019 (EDT)

There's no reason to merge it since there's no Mario-related info to mention. For reference, see this proposal from earlier this year that resulted in the removal of several articles on Game & Watch games that weren't Mario-relevant. -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 12:24, October 30, 2019 (EDT)
