Bowser is in the game

Although he has not appeared in person, he can be seen in the background in a picture. This means that he at least makes a cameo, which still means that he's in the game. I'm just going to add him.

Flying Racoon?

I think you mean the Squirrel Power-up. The Raccoon power-up isn't confirmed nor the Bat power-up.YoshiGo99

Weird Goombas

Those strange looking goombas with round heads, I figured out what makes them different from normal ones! They don't fall off the edge, but turn around, like Red Koopas. yoshiyoshiyoshi (talk)

I didn't know that but I don't think these are the Round Goombas. If you look at the tops of their heads they have like a cap thing like acorns. Would they be like called Acorn Goombas? That is what I wanna know.YoshiGo99

Baby Yoshis

From what I can tell from the screenshots, the abilities of the baby yoshis are

• Blue - spits bubbles to defeat enemies
• Red (purple) - balloons up and can fly
• Yellow - glows

Connection with NSMBMii

Does this game have anything to do with last year's New Super Mario Bros. Mii demo? Looks like this game borrows some concepts such as Miis. But it also looks completely different. Would it be okay to make the connection?

I don't think there's any direct connection. True they use similar/identical elements as other games in the series, but then again...what Mario game doesn't? Marioguy1 (Talk | Contribs)

Also, in the New Super Mario Bros. Mii videos, the same exact waterfall level with the water geysers appears in the Wii U trailer! Look:

This one was in a partial video for NSMBU that was shown after the game was announced. It's also very similar in layout to the waterfall one in NSMBU too with the Urchins on the group art. NinjaYoshi File:Red.gif

Release Date

I read on amazon that NSMBU is going to be released on 12/31/2013, I think they meant 12/31/2012 but I just wanted to mention this. EmperorLuigi115 (talk)

I am pretty sure this is part of the grass level, it is a bonus area in the level. I am pretty sure I did see it in a demo of the game.YoshiGo99

Yoshi is ridable?

it seems by the looks of this artwork we might get to ride a yoshi to but though he never showed in the trailer or in a single screenshot well I wonder he will do this time? gamermakerguy (talk)

He looks perfectly ridable to me. He was ridable in Super Mario World, Super Mario Sunshine, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Super Mario Galaxy 2, remember? So he should most likely be ridable in NSMBU(I'd rather call it NSMB4), correct? --Mario X-Fan 45
