Ultra Nuts are consumables used by Mario and Luigi in the Mario & Luigi series. They restore Heart Points to both brothers during a single turn. In Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, they are replaced by Ultra Drops.
History
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
Ultra Nuts first appear in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, restoring 100 Health Points for both brothers. It can be bought from the Castle Town Item Shop after Princess Peach is kidnapped for 140 coins. Red Viruses have a 25.81% chance of dropping them when defeated and Jojora's Friend is guaranteed to drop them.
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
After their absence in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Ultra Nuts return in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. Unlike the previous installment, they restore eighty Health Points, and are the last Nut that can be bought in stores. Alarm Bob-ombs and Stonks both have a 5% chance of dropping them upon defeat.
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team
Ultra Nuts reappear in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, although they restore fifty Heart Points instead of eighty. They cost 225 coins to purchase from the shops after reaching Driftwood Shore. Certain enemies have a chance of dropping them after a battle: Boomerang Bros have a 5% chance, Hermite Crab Rs have a 5% chance, and Monolifts have a 2% chance.
Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam
Ultra Nuts in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam use the same sprite as they did in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, and heal fifty Heart points.
