Links[edit]

Hello, please make sure you are using links properly. The square brackets around certain names are meant to link to articles on the wiki; they're not used for random or key phrases. The Manual of Style and Help:Link explain this in detail. When you do link to a proper article, it should be the correct capitalisation (e.g. Hide and Go BOOM! has "Go" capitalised; if you're not sure, use the search bar to check), and game titles should be written in full and italicised (Mario Party Superstars, not just Superstars), otherwise they may generate broken links. Hot Rope Jump[edit]

These are not themes used in the minigame. Please stop adding these to the article or a warning will be issued as this gives false information for readers. Rosalina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:43, June 30, 2023 (EDT)

File uploads[edit]

Hello, Superstars6088. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the {{aboutfile}} template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below.

{{aboutfile
|1=Subject of the image
|2=Where you found the image
|3=Artist
|4=Describe edits, if any
|5=Other versions (use file link)
}}

Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. A description of the image subject (parameter 1) should always be included, even if it's just a few words. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using {{aboutfile}} incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, Superstars6088. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file into a subject category. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, images related to the game Super Mario World would use:

[[Category:Super Mario World images]]
or one it its subcategories. Media files would use:
[[Category:Super Mario World media files]]

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, Superstars6088. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must apply the proper license. The following are the most common:

When uploading, select the license from the drop-down menu below the summary text box. Don't tag a file with multiple copyright templates; choose the one that best fits the file.

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Also, while it's not necessary, it is recommended by the wiki's media guidelines to have the audio fade out before it ends. - RHG1951 (talk) 06:02, July 15, 2023 (EDT)

Mt. Minigames[edit]

Good start on the article; a number of things:

  • Please do not leave the summary and licensing unfilled when uploading images. Make sure you at least try filling in the details (like this) as the reminders above explain (don't worry if you get something wrong, we'll fix it and let you know what to do so you know in the future). If you keep going straight to upload without doing any of that, though, you will be issued a warning.
    • Also, when finding images, avoid simply taking the one you see on the Google Images screen; go to the actual webpage itself and try to get the image from there, since that's where the original image is and is usually higher-quality.

For the article itself:

  • When copying/pasting parts of other articles for your own, make sure you're not leaving behind leftovers that were specific to the page you copied from (your article still had the caption from Data House, as well as most of the foreign names from Cashapult).
    • On the topic of foreign names, please do not Google Translate the English title for a foreign name (in this case, the Japanese name). They should be the official name from the respective version of the game, not self-translated. Rosalina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 09:25, July 21, 2023 (EDT)

List of Mario Party Superstars Drawable minigames[edit]

The page(s) you recently created (List of Mario Party Superstars Drawable minigames) has/have been put up for deletion, has been deleted, or turned into a redirect. This may be because it violated at least one of the policies and/or guidelines of the Super Mario Wiki. There are some things you can do to ensure this doesn't happen again.
  1. Make sure there is no other article about the same subject with a different title, especially for conjectural articles.
  2. Make sure the article has enough information to make it a worthwhile read (i.e. it does more than state the obvious, such as "Luigi's Mansion is a mansion that is owned by Luigi"). Overly short articles are known as stubs and their creation is strongly discouraged; it is better to amass enough information to make a solid article right off the bat instead.
  3. Make sure the article is significant enough in the Super Mario franchise to have its own article.

If the article has only been tagged to be deleted you can still fix or expand it, but an administrator may delete it at any time, so please act quickly. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing!

We don't create articles that compile minigames based on a specific gameplay aspect (especially one used by a small number of minigames). A category would be more appropriate, but even then, it's still too trivial to warrant one. Any similar minigames can just be listed under "See also" on a minigame article. Also, the article was clearly incomplete; again, please don't publish an article that still has leftover content that you copied/pasted from other articles, and maybe use the sandbox (or create a personal one) to test your edits and draft the article first. File summaries[edit]

Simply filling in parts of the "aboutfile" is not enough. Please make sure to remove any traits you're not using, categorise the file, and add a license as the reminders you were issued above explain (like this). Rosalina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 10:39, August 5, 2023 (EDT)
