Hello there, 'Shroom readers! Can you believe it? It's the last issue of The 'Shroom before the Nintendo Switch 2 comes out! The Switch has had a good long run, but I guess it's time to move on. Hopefully you can get your hands on one if you want it...

The Fantasy vs. Sci-Fi 'Shroomfest has concluded! I think it went pretty well, a lot of really interesting points were made on both sides! It's good to see there's still life in that event format five years after it first ran. I won't spoil them here, but be sure to check out the 'Shroomfest Highlights to see the final results. Did Team Fantasy ride to ultimate victory, or did Team Sci-Fi blast those hopes to smithereens? You'll have to read it to find out! Regardless if your team won, I'd like to thank everyone who participated for making this a successful event and for being good sports about it. 'Shroomfest wouldn't be able to happen without you all supporting your favorite side!

Also, I can't leave you without mentioning that the wiki's annual Awards are coming up! The Mario and Fail Awards polls launch June 14th, and the Community Awards polls will go up a week after that alongside our next issue. Don't miss your chance to let your voice be heard, and then after that... Time to get started on presentations! Woo! It's a really fun time for our community, and we've had quite a few new faces joining and getting more involved around here, so if you've never attended an Awards Ceremony before, let me tell you, you're in for a real treat. In the meantime, we have other cool things to think about... like all the sections our talented writers have crafted for you this month!

Welcome one and all to May's issue! May is a very special month for me as very wonderful things occurred! It was May 18, 2022 when I started watching My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic - going to be the third anniversary tomorrow! Did you know it's also been exactly one year since I became a patroller on the Mario Wiki itself? I still remember the adrenaline I had when I received the invitation...

Oh! And before I forget, Mega Man is back in An Overly Detailed and Funny Walkthrough of Mega Man 3, a goofy guide I made about Mega Man 3! It's good to get back to Mega Man.

But this isn't about me! Plenty of new guest sections have bloomed this May! Interestingly enough, both of them happen to be in Fake News!

• Aomaf (talk) talks about Mario's Crazy Battles for Spaghetti, quite possibly the wackiest Mario game ever created in Game Corner! The Koopa King himself purchased an Italian restaurant and hosts a battle royale where someone could leave with a fortune? I should also mention that competitors throw spaghetti at each other and the game quotes the iconic Hotel Mario... Wowie! It's even more strange than the Mario + Rabbids games!
• ClawgripFan9001 brings us various Waluigi-themed wares and merchandise in Shop Scout! Join Wallace Ulysses as he enters a unique store in Mushroom City; one that has everything Waluigi themed! Not only are replicas of his clothes available for sale, but there's his signature Dice Block and even a Bob-Omb Cannon?! That's certainly a one-of-a-kind shop if you ask me. Perhaps I might get that Dice Block myself... hopefully I won't lose any coins!

And do you know what's coming next month? The Villains special issue! We're working very hard behind the scenes to make sure that it's an event you won't forget! Excited to see all your favorite villains, including the non-Mario related ones? I am! Make sure to submit any villains-themed sections you have on mind before it's too late! Trust me when I say it's not something you wanna miss.
