Super Mario Game Land[edit]

I am pretty sure this is the exact same thing as Super Mario Game Land considering it's constant name change history and similar art style. Sprite of Lakitu from Super Mario Bros.RykituSprite of Lakitu from Super Mario Bros.

According to the page and considering it is the same art style, I would say so. Maw-Ray Master (talk) 18:49, May 13, 2025 (EDT)

Continuing from the above section, on Template:Publications, there exists a red link for Super Mario Game Land, which refers to this. Doesn't this look familiar? This is the exact same manga series. And the manga is much larger than what the page suggests it as. According to the linked Random Hoo Haas page, it started as Super Mario-kun (not to be confused with the other 5 manga series of the same name) from 1986 to 1990, then it was referred to Dr. Mario once, before changing to Super Mario World from 1990 to 1991, then it returned back to Super Mario-kun from 1991 to 1996, where it was changed to Super Mario Wonder Land from 1996 to 1998. That was when it became Super Mario Game Land (or Super Mario Wakuwaku Game Land as the page calls it) and it was known as that for the remainder of its run. This is similar to how the Kodansha manga names its volumes. It doesn't have a consistent name and just names its volumes after the game the volume is adapting. So if the page for that manga is doing it, why not do the same here? If this proposal passes, the red linked page Super Mario-kun (Big Korotan) would also have to be merged because it looks to be the same series.

  1. Rykitu (talk) Per proposal.
  2. Xiahou Ba, The Nasty Warrior (talk) Don't see why not, per proposal.
  3. Camwoodstock (talk) Per proposal. Worst-case scenario, if it turns out a merge is more confusing than helpful, we can always re-split a few things.
  4. Maw-Ray Master (talk) Per more coverage.
  5. Nelsonic Game Land (talk) Per all.

Super Mario Comments Land[edit]

Wouldn't the page be renamed to Super Mario (Hiroshi Takase), considering he is the artist who wrote and illustrated the manga? Maw-Ray Master (talk) 18:49, May 13, 2025 (EDT)

Super Mario Game Land seems to be the most recently used official title, so I think we should keep the title we have currently. Sprite of Lakitu from Super Mario Bros.RykituSprite of Lakitu from Super Mario Bros.
