Neither the franchise nor the series is clearly the most prominent one
I find it odd that the article named "Super Mario" with no identifiers is the disambiguation page, rather than the franchise, series, or form. Therefore, I think the disambiguation page should have the "disambiguation" identifier, while one of these three articles has its identifier removed.

Move Super Mario (franchise) to Super Mario[edit]
- Brett (talk) Per proposal. This is what this wiki is about, so I think it would make the most sense for this one to have the "Super Mario" title without the identifier over any other articles with this name.
Move Super Mario (series) to Super Mario[edit]
Move Super Mario (form) to Super Mario[edit]
Don't move any of the articles (status quo)[edit]
- Hewer (talk) I think the current setup is the one that allows for the most clarity. A subject with a shared name should only lack an identifier if it's "clearly more likely to be searched for or linked to than the other(s)", and I don't think any of the subjects in this case are obviously the most prominent one. The fact you're proposing all three of these moves as options demonstrates that.
- Wandering Poplin (talk) Per Hewer.
- Illuminoid (talk) Per Hewer. The form Super Mario may be the least likely to be referred to out of these three, but I assume someone searching "Super Mario" here is just as likely to be looking for the Super Mario series as the Super Mario franchise.
- Super Mr. Sorbetti (talk) Per Hewer.
- Camwoodstock (talk) The fact that the current disambiguation has thirteen items that have, at one point or another, been referred to as "Super Mario", should tell you that there's not really one Super Mario to rule them all, even out of the three the proposal narrows it down to. Not all disambiguation pages need to be ones with (disambiguation) in the title, sometimes it's fine, and even helpful for an end-user, if there's no "definitive" thing we consider to represent one ambiguous subject.
Super comments[edit]
I would honestly only for moving this to "Super Mario (disambiguation)" and leaving the rest as-is. Moving any of them to Super Mario just makes things unnecessarily more complicated.

- I second that opinion. I don't find any of the proposed options (other than oppose) particularly appealing. Wandering Poplin (talk) 16:28, August 29, 2026 (UTC)
- There does need to be a page without the identifier though. In cases like this without one subject that's obviously more prominent than the others, the identifier-less page is the disambiguation. Hewer
