Missing information[edit]
This page is missing Mario's egg catch, Luigi's hammer toss and princess toadstool's castle run. Lord Falafel (talk) 14:43, May 31, 2019 (EDT)
Clarification[edit]
I took a break from this wiki for a while, but I wanted to clarify what I was trying to say about these a few months ago. The three watches from 1990 (mario egg, luigi, princess toadstool) are not made by Nelsonic. Their name is nowhere on the package, the manual, etc., and from watching videos they appear to be much crappier quality. To my knowledge they were produced by the mysterious "S.I.U.", which is mentioned in the manual (the picture works just fine on my end, idk why it keeps being called a "dead link"). I think this page should be renamed to just "Game watches" instead of Nelsonic, as its important to have all of these games listed, but would become complicated to separate into different, company-based lists. - I just see "403 forbidden." Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:12, September 7, 2019 (EDT)
Doc, I saw a video by The Retro Future and it seems Super Mario Bros. 3 was made by a company called Zeon. We must provide people with reliable information. We'll have to make a page called game watch, mention each correct manufacturer, move everything from here to there and then remove this page. Lord Falafel (talk) 15:34, September 16, 2019 (EDT)
- Moving information and deleting the page is actually unnecessary. This page could easily be renamed to a different title and repurposed, it happens all the time. --

The MOST Frustrating Mario Game EVER! by The Retro Future. Lord Falafel (talk) 16:05, September 16, 2019 (EDT)
[1] [2] It's still by Nelsonic. It was just released in Europe by the UK company Zeon, at least that's what Wikipedia says.

- Then just note that Zeon handled the EU releases for the game watch or something along that line. Not sure how the jump to deleting the page was made. --

- @Mario JC, it SHOULD be noted as trivia on the appropriate page, but I think it can be folded into information on international releases here. --

Super Mario Bros. 2, and Super Mario Kart?[edit]
Wikipedia insists there was also a Super Mario Bros. 2-themed watch (titled "Princess Toadstools Castle Run Game), and a Super Mario Kart-themed watch (titled "Super Mario Race", though the front-side packaging seems to be using the Japanese cover art of F-1 Race for Game Boy). I tried looking through page 21 of Super Play Issue 2, but only Zelda, Super Mario Bros. 3, and Tetris are pictured and mentioned. --Xamolap211 (talk) 14:30, April 14, 2026 (UTC)
- @Xamolap211 Those were part of a different series of watches; Wikipedia seems to have conflated the other series (such as Super Mario Bros. Watch with the Nelsonic Game Watch. I believe we used to also mention all of the watches in a single article as well, until it was found that they weren't all part of the same series.
