An ongoing proposal to remove the Pokemon article reminded me of this page. It was created as a result of this proposal. Thing is... only a few of these "objects" are... "objects", really. They're either cutscene elements or parts of another stage. Mario elements such as Cargo weren't merged to begin with, so not like we're losing out on anything. Here's a quick rundown of every entry in the list:

  • Arwing. "They appear in the background of all Star Fox stages in the Super Smash Bros. series". Enough said.
  • Dark Cannon. A cutscene element.
  • F-Zero machine. Blue Falcon already has an article. Everything Mario-related will be merged with that.
  • Falcon Flyer. A platform that belongs on its respective stage's article.
  • Great Fox. Same thing, a stage element that belongs on the stage article.
  • Gunship. Cutscene element and a cameo in Tropical Freeze.
  • Hocotate Ship. "the ship appears as part of Olimar's Final Smash, End of Day".
  • Orange cube. An actual object for once. It's a borderline item, we can easily merge it with an items list.
  • Pleiades. Once again, a cutscene element.
  • Shadow Bug. "The Subspace Emissary, where they appear in cutscenes"
  • Smash Skiff. Yet again, a cutscene element.
  • Subspace Bomb. Same as above.
  • Subspace Gunship. Same as above.
  • Target. Break the Targets!
  • Wolfen. Again, a stage platform.

All of the above will either be merged with their respective stage article(s) (or the stage list, if the ongoing proposal passes) or some other page. The rest will be deleted.

If you disagree with any entry in this list, feel free to leave the comment below before voting, so I can either modify a proposal or add an extra voting option.

Delete and merge[edit]

  1. Spectrogram (talk) Per proposal.
  2. Mario (talk) This is just an unwiedly page of miscellaneous assets that bear no relation to each other except they have a name (most are vehicles or relate to hi-tech dross I guess but then you have Target and that item box from Subspace Emissary)
  3. Hewer (talk) Per proposal.
  4. Ahemtoday (talk) Per proposal.
  5. DannyTheDingo (talk) Per all.
  6. Killer Moth (talk) Per all.
  7. SolemnStormcloud (talk) Per all.
  8. TheFlameChomp (talk) Per all.
  9. RHG1951 (talk) Per all.
  10. Camwood777 (talk) Another day, another weird remnant of a pre-SmashWiki wiki. Any relevant info could probably go on there, we probably don't need to put this here.
  11. ThePowerPlayer (talk) Per all.

Keep[edit]

  1. SeanWheeler (talk) We have just done proposals putting Smash Bros. characters and stages into lists. And there's the List of Super Smash Bros. series items and List of Super Smash Bros. series bosses that we have to worry about deleting if this passes. We can add Mario series objects to this list.

Comments[edit]

This won't change its fate, but the Pleiades is a stage element (the platform of Lylat Cruise), not a cutscene element. SolemnStormcloud (talk) 11:29, April 27, 2023 (EDT)

I feel it would be better for some of these to be redirected to certain other articles. Though, deleting is a fine decision because we really thought all crossovers were equal at the time and that's just wrong. Wikiboy10 (talk) 12:18, April 28, 2023 (EDT)

@SeanWheeler, I think you missed the part where I explained where exactly all the information will go. Not to mention, this page isn't even about objects, just random spacecraft that should have been merged with their stages to begin with. Spectrogram (talk) 06:08, May 1, 2023 (EDT)
