Donkey Kong: Coloring & Activity Book is the fourth book of the Donkey Kong coloring/activity books under the Donkey Kong line. The book was written by Dean Lorey, Fran Rizzo, and James Sherman and was released in 1982.

Plot synopsis

Continuing from the events of the previous book, Mario and Pauline have finally escaped Donkey Kong. Mario and Pauline hug each other, with Mario throwing his hammer away, as he no longer needs it now that they have escaped Donkey Kong. To celebrate their victory, Mario and Pauline decide to run towards the Tunnel of Love. However, Donkey Kong emerges from the water he was thrown in during the events of the previous book and charges into the Tunnel of Love after Mario and Pauline, who hear him approaching. Mario and Pauline then quietly leave the boat and swim through the channel and under Donkey Kong's boat.

However, Donkey Kong realizes Mario and Pauline's plan and blocks the entrance they are swimming towards, so Mario and Pauline run along the ledge of the ride and disguise themselves as cupids at one point during the ride. Pauline shoots an arrow at Donkey Kong, and she and Mario rush through the emergency exit, with Donkey Kong in pursuit. Mario and Pauline then run into The Shrink Machine, an attraction Mario has been building. While chasing the two down, Donkey Kong runs into The Shrink Machine, causing it to turn on and shrink him, Mario, and Pauline. Donkey Kong grabs Pauline and carries her up a tower of beams that resembles 100m. The book ends with a young boy putting a coin into a Donkey Kong arcade cabinet.
