The 20-bai Spray is the third of seven inventions made by Dr. Mario Nakamatsu that he gives to Mario in the "Time Traveler" story arc in the Super Mario Kodansha manga. It is a spray can that can enlarge an item or body part to 20 times its original size.
This invention is pulled out by Luigi in chapter 2 and later in chapter 3 by Bowser. In the Wild West era, after attacking the Koopa-sama da Bokujō, Luigi passes Mario the spray can to enlarge his pistol. With the now-giant weapon, Mario blows up the ranch alongside Bowser and his minions, forcing him to retreat to his Time Machine. Mario latches onto the machine as well, and in the next chapter this causes them to crash-land in Edo-period Japan.
Through corruption, Bowser allies himself with Tokugawa Tsunayoshi and imprisons Mario, while Chibi Peach suggests confiscating his bag of inventions. Doing so, Bowser puts his hands on the spray, intending to use it on Chibi Peach, thinking this will grow her to a legal (and curvy) age to marry her after completing his palace. However, instead of aging, the young princess grows in size, breaking the castle. Furious, Bowser uses it on himself, but inadvertently enlarges just his own head due to the low spray remains. After being hit by a plasma strike by the next invention, the Jinkō Plasma Hasseiki, Chibi Peach and Bowser return to normal.
In the last chapter, the fight moves to the future. When Mario manages to steal Bowser's Time Machine, he takes the idea of collecting his various self from different times to take on Bowser, but first he quickly goes back to Edo-period Japan to make sure the spray used on Chibi Peach falls on the Time Machine, enlarging it to allow him to carry the army of Marios.
