Effect Shooting plasma lightnings

The Jinkō Plasma Hasseiki is the fourth of seven inventions made by Dr. Mario Nakamatsu that he gives to Mario in the "Time Traveler" story arc in the Super Mario Kodansha manga. It is a giant jitte (a primitive truncheon from the Edo period) that releases a plasma discharge, but first requires to be plugged in to electricity.

While facing Bowser, whose head was enlarged by the 20-bai Spray and slowly rolls toward them, Mario pulls out the Jinkō Plasma Hasseiki to shoot a plasma lightning at him, reverting the effects of the spray, but upon using it, Luigi discovers it needs to be plugged in. Mario Gennai comes to the rescue using an invention of his, a tandem-like electrostatic generator, to give it power. With the plasma discharged, both Bowser and Chibi Peach are hit and both return to their regular sizes.
