Vanish Cap
The Vanish Cap

The Vanish Cap (or Invisible Cap) is a cap found in Super Mario 64. When worn, it turns Mario into Vanish Mario for 20 seconds. In this form, Mario can walk through enemies, metal fences, and certain walls. Its music is the same as the Wing Cap music. To use one, Mario must first press the blue Cap Switch in the course Vanish Cap Under the Moat, which activates the Vanish Cap-holding blue Cap Blocks.

In Super Mario 64's remake, Super Mario 64 DS, Luigi gains the ability to become immaterial when he picks up a Power Flower, but the Vanish Cap itself is absent.
