Not to be confused with Gold Mario.

Template:Form-infobox Golden Statue Mario is a form of Lucky Cat Mario in Super Mario 3D World. He transforms into this when a ground pound is performed. In this form, he is a golden Maneki-neko holding a coin. Luigi's Golden Statue form is slightly different; he is a lefty Lucky Cat instead of a righty unlike everyone else. Very akin to Tanooki Mario's Statue Mario, Mario is impervious to nearly all obstacles while in this form, while even defeating or destroying some. The only difference other than aesthetics is that Mario can spawn coins while in this form. As Statue Mario, Mario cannot remain in this form indefinitely; he reverts to Lucky Cat Mario either if the player stops the ground pound or if a certain amount of time passes.
