World 1-2 (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)
Template:Level World 1-2 is the second level of World 1 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. This is also the first Underground level of the game. The level is full of shifting crystals and introduces the player to the Tilt Lift.
Layout
Most of this level takes place underground. At the beginning of the level, players must avoid the Goombas and run through a wall to a hidden Warp Pipe which leads to the underground area. There are many tilting platforms made of crystal seen throughout the cavern, the first set of which leads up to a POW Block. Past this is a couple of pipes with a Koopa Troopa and a few Piranha Plants; between them are dozens of coins and Brick Blocks. Afterward is the Midway Flag; players can jump down into the space below the ground to grab a Super Star, which can be used to defeat several enemies ahead.
Past this area is another Tilt Lift with a Red Ring and another Warp Pipe that leads outside; a Tilt Lift can be used to reach the Flagpole.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: Between the second and third moving crystals, the Star Coin can be seen near a hole in the ceiling. The player can use the lower crystal to collect it.
- Star Coin 2: The player must reach the first Tilt Lift and use it to get near a Warp Pipe. Entering it leads Mario to a room with a Goomba trapped in a brick block cage and some coins. There is also a Brick Block with a P-Switch in it. After pressing it, the player must quickly guide Mario to the roof, using the Brick Block platforms or the Propeller Mushroom to reach the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3: After the Midway Flag, there are some Warp Pipes and a wall made of Brick Blocks. Players must Ground Pound the Brick Blocks to get to a Warp Pipe that lead to a room with a POW Block; using it will cause the Star Coin to fall from the other area into this room.

Trivia
- There is a secret area in this level. It can be found near the pipe that goes to the third Star Coin. After the player destroys all the brick blocks on top of Mario, the player can wall jump to the secret area to collect some coins.
