The Star Sprites aren't like normal stars. They, in case you haven't noticed, are different. I think it should be split into a new page titled, "Star Sprite".Dry dry king (Talk)
First Appearance
If the infobox says that they first appear in Super Mario Bros., why there's no information about that in the History section? I think that they first appear in Super Mario RPG... LED42™ (talk – edits) 14:27, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
Nor the Notable Stars section says something... LED42™ (talk – edits) 14:29, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
- Probably because of Super Star, as that's listed as a subspecies. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:32, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
- Beyond the fact that we're not supposed to use the term "sub-species", Super Stars are irrelevant to the subject of this article. It'd be best to change it to Super Mario RPG. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 14:39, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
- Is there a point where we have to make a distinction between sentient characters and items? I mean, Fire Flowers are categorized in the same category as living, sentient characters. Ray Trace(T|C) 14:41, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
- Because flowers are flowers, even if they don't display any sapiency other than blinking sometimes. Double Dash was years ago, and that was the last time "everything has eyes" was true. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:47, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
- Well, the mushrooms, flowers, and stars still share their eyes. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 14:51, 13 September 2017 (EDT)

Fire Flowers are items, even the page says that, so, what's the point to put Fire Flowers under the characters category? LED42™ (talk – edits) 14:51, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
- They aren't, they're both in Category:Flowers together. As they should be. And I subscribe to Mushrooms, Flowers, and Stars being alive because real mushrooms and flowers are living things, even if they qualify as an item. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:53, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
