- Lacks any form of references. Looking at the requirements for being a featured article on this Wiki: "…be sourced with all available sources and Mario-related appearances." Clearly, the lack of references tells us that this article cannot be featured quality by the standards put in place and should be failed if this is not fixed. - NARCE 03:15, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- You don't know what references are do you? Gamefreak75 (talk)
- Well, after having edited Wikipedia significantly, and how every single featured article uses sources - ie references - I think I have a little more knowledge than you do if you believe that this article has references.
- But humour me - what is a reference? - NARCE 05:58, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Look here. Then ask questions later. Sheesh. BabyLuigiOnFire (talk)
- I looked. And then I asked why it's acceptable to form assessments of Kiddy Kong's personality based on observations of DKC3. We're not here to tell people what we think, we're here to show the "important opinions" on the subject. - NARCE 04:34, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- It is acceptable, how else are we going to get anything about his personality that isn't from the game? I don't know of any website, manual, or guide that tells you his personality. And all that stuff about is personality is true, he is childish, he does throw a fit when he loses a life, he is caring and adventurous, etc. Fawfulfury65 (talk)
- Are you going to assert that every single person may agree? What if someone were to come in and disagree with that assessment? How would you counter this, by giving your opinion? At this stage, it becomes the matter of two opinions. With a proper reference, the only thing that can counter it is another proper reference. - NARCE 21:15, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- His personality is shown in the games, so we don't need a reference. Fawfulfury65 (talk)
- That's your own observation, though. You observe that he is childish. By what I've played, I would agree. But if we use our own terminology and our own opinions, we become our own references; it's not acceptable to do that. It would be like providing our own opinions on the difficulty of a boss battle. It may be a hard one, but how hard, or heck, if it was hard at all, cannot be based on our opinion, but a reliable source's opinion. It's to ensure that people do not add their own speculation or opinion into the article that may prove disputable. - NARCE 02:43, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, but, though there is not a reference, every bit of information there is backed up by an example. I mean, it says: "At times he can act like a "crybaby." For example, when Kiddy loses an extra life, he will throw a fit, cry, and slam his fists on the ground" and "He is simple and curious like a child – Dixie first found Kiddy chewing on an old tire, and when the player is not controlling him he will often pull on his sock." I'm afraid there is not other way to get anything about his personality other than observing him in the games. He appeared in two games, and their manuals don't say much about his personality. @BluePikminKong497: Did you even look at the article? It has a lot of images, is not near being short - it's almost as long as Bramble Scramble, and all the info about his appearances in that comic are there. Fawfulfury65 (talk)
@KS3: I don't think there's really anymore to add there... Fawfulfury65 (talk)
Why does latest game appearence have two games in it? Booderdash (talk)
- Maybe because it's a remake? BabyLuigiOnFire (talk)
