The title of this article is conjectural; an official name for the article's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an official name is found, then the article should be moved to its appropriate title.

Luigi and Yoshi, Super Mario-kun

The Power-up mess is an item that appears only in one chapter of Super Mario-kun volume 1.

While running through an athletic level, Mario attempts to skip it by flying with the cape, Luigi stops him, since neither him nor Yoshi can fly like him. They find a Roulette Block, from which they can have a power-up by asking it while hitting it: Luigi hits it asking for a Cape Feather, but Mario hits it as well asking for a Super Star, and Yoshi asks for everything. Luigi yells at them, and the Block, stressed out, pops a Power-up hybrid that Luigi and Yoshi deem useless.

Later, in volume 5, the Star World Yoshis toss to Mario a bag full of Super Mario Bros. 3's power-ups, making him Super Power-Up Mario. This may imply that the Power-up mess could have give to Luigi all the abilities of all the involved items, but the power-ups in the Yoshis' bag where mixed up.
